Tesla is by most if not all metrics demonstrates global manufacturing excellence, arguably bar none. They turn out vehicles typically in 10 hours. Most western manufacturers take 30 hours. Their designs are totally optimised for EV´s and the rapid adoption of its rapidly evolving technologies.

What many often miss also is their rapid integration of research and development changes on to the production line. Changes are completed in days not months. Traditional methods of enhancements going from conceptional designs, detail design, prototyping, pre production then manufacture of traditional ICE manufacturers are no more. Tradition globalisation practices are also being consigned to history.

Go back to 1913 and many parallels and similarities can be seen to Mr Henry Fords´ ideas. It is uncanny.

Check out this fantastic, exceptionally insightful and fact pact 40 minute video here.

Credits to 'Connecting the Dots channel. Really worth a watch.

See the photos below to give heart that change can rapidly happen. Compare the 1900 Easter parade to that of 1913. Mind boggling. Other photo is at bottom of this post.

Many see the Tesla vehicles as universal configurable software with standard inter changeable hardware across most models` which then have a car built around it A car which can adapt rapidly to technology advancements. ICE manufacturers seem to constrain themselves with ICE processes.

Colour options are minimal. Trim options are minimum. Many options are software configurable. Upgrades happen instantly over the internet. Henry Ford, with the exception of software built his empire on this local sourced materials and most supply chain parts on site. Now where are we seeing that happen again post globalisation.

This allows for model enhancements with minimum production disruption in the rapidly changing Electric Vehicle market. Often 2 or 3 enhancements per day. Not every 3 or 6 months.

Many enhancements go into value adding within the manufacturing process. Often many we do not see.

Almost exactly like Henry Ford did at his Highland Park factory in 1913.

Highland Park and Project Highland Coincidences. I personally don´t think so!!

Easter parade 1913. Spot the horse buggy!!
